Parent Council Organised Clubs
The Parent Council’s Clubs subgroup organises a number of clubs that typically run straight after school. These clubs are run by both professional leaders and volunteers. All clubs currently require volunteers to support their running. If you would like to volunteer, please contact the Clubs subgroup leaders using the email shown below.
Note: these clubs are separate from the Spring Oscars After School Club provision, although learners can take part in a PC-run club before attending ASC.
Who can join a club?
Clubs will typically be open to all learners within the specified year group(s). Where clubs include an element of progression (e.g. languages), registration may be limited accordingly.
School guidance advises that new learners in P1 should be given time to settle into the school routine for at least one term before joining a club.
What clubs are available and when?
Details of clubs will be shared via Classlist. Booking is via Classlist.
Blocks generally run for one half or full term, but club sessions may not take place every week of the term. Places are allocated on a first come, first served basis. A waiting list is used to prioritise learners who have missed out for the next block.
Club sessions are chargeable but there are some free places available for learners with free school meals eligibility.
To allow as many learners as possible to participate, parents and carers are asked to limit their child’s participation to two clubs per term. Parents and carers will be advised if spaces remain.
Where can I find out policy information about clubs?
Copies of policies relating to club participation can be obtained by emailing the Clubs mailbox. They will also be shared at booking and made available on Classlist. The CLPC Policy document sets out information relating the Parent Council’s approach to equity, diversity and inclusion, acceptable conduct, safeguarding and finances.
